Just how many series have there been? I'm only aware of 2 other than perhaps on satellite (which I don't get)

I can't recall if it's on BBC or not. As you may know, all BBC channels are without commercials, but the vast maj. of people in the UK pay a TV licence each year, for the BBC (it means we get to watch films without breaks - which is a pain when you need a pee :-) - but shows like 24 only last c. 45 mins). So maybe it's only available to UK residents for this reason.
