I'm am trying to instantiate the QuickBoks QBFC3 com object and it only instantiates successfully when logged in as administrator. For other users, I get a non-descript OLE exception error.

Even when I add another user to the administrators group, the object still will not instatiate for that user. I'm seeing this under Windows2000 and a customer is seeing it under Windows 2003 Server.

I'm wondering if this is related to the way the DLL was registered when it was installed. In both cases (mine and the customers) the object will only instantiate for the same user who installed the DLL.

Is that coincidence or is there something more to this ?

Thanks,
Carl
