This video is from september 2005 and it may have been mentioned and discussed here already. But it is remarkable enough to mention it again: http://channel9.msdn.com/showpost.aspx?postid=114680

As was also the case with Ken's channel9 video, its quality is terrible when it focuses on the screen. Nevertheless, it is informative and makes clear in what way the sql language is implemented in C#3. Its resemblance with the implementation in vfp is striking indeed. And did I understand Anders Heljsberg right? Did they introduce soft datatyping (although they call it an anonymous datatype)?

>Hi.
>I've been reading a bit about the next version of C# (3.0) which will incorporate LINQ (Langauge Integrated Query) features.
>It would appear to me that a lot of the stuff they are goin to be putting into C# 3.0 is nearly directly taken from functionality that is alredy in VFP, and after this version, in fact Dot net will have almost everthing that VFP has.

>So I am just psing the question if :
>C# 3.0 = VFP 10 or indeed if VFP 10 = C# 3.0

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
