>VFP developers should review the VFP Roadmap document carefully at
http://msdn.com/vfoxpro/roadmap and make decisions accordingly, and not assume anything related to VFP that is not in that document. The VFP Roadmap is the complete list of plans on how Microsoft will be enhancing VFP. How VFP is enhanced according to the VFP Roadmap has nothing to do with Microsoft's support lifecycle for VFP which is listed at
http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/search/?sort=PN&alpha=foxpro which lists expiration of extended VFP 9.0 support in January 2015.
Ken, that document is positively Delphic and you know it. We all know it. It was/is the corporate equivalent of treading water. And if you want us to look at specifics, isn't the "complete list of plans" bit the one to focus on?
I hope your new position is going well. You have always been one of the good guys.
Mike
PS -- for those who do not already know this, the Delphic oracle was not all wise, all knowing, as in the popular image. The oracle neither revealed nor concealed, only gave indications. (Actually a pretty poor name for a database LOL). Hence my reference to the VFP roadmap.
