Living in NZ is seen as more of a lifestyle choice than an economic choice, though those who arrive with pounds from sale of their UK home will be able to buy an extremely fine property anywhere outside Auckland.

Two hours from here by scramjet I think. Plus in the knowledge business physical location is surely less relevant. You may not be able to survive mass producing plastic widgets but thats true of all developed countries as someone will always undercut you.
