>>>Christ also said to render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasars. He also told his followers to obey the law and respect those who govern becuase they are in place because God allows them to rule. As I've said before, the immigrants should be welcome WHEN THEY ARE HERE LEGALLY. If they are here illegally, they should be deported. It has nothing to do with compassion. It has to do with protecting our borders and our way of life. Show me another country that allows people to enter illegaly!

>>Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's? That may be a Biblical passage but it is hardly the message I get from the Bible, nor is it my sense of Jesus.

>Well, Jesus is the one who said it. He was talking about whether or not you should pay your taxes and his reply was to follow the rules of the government. Even a bad government is better than anarchy. I think Jesus would tell them to enter the country legally.
Hey, wait a minute. Jesus travelled a lot, and I don't recall anything in the bible about his getting his passport stamped. ;)
