My report has a grouping on a date field.
In the detail band there is a character field containing only numeric data.
I want to sum this field and print it in the group footer of the date field.

Using the expression builder am placing a field containing the following into the footer:
SUM(VAL(char_field))

When I preview this report am getting the error message
*File 'sum.prg' does not exist*

What kind of sillyness is this?
