But they could live quite well on 1/4 of US salary if they could do it from their countries. And their employer doesn't incur all the costs of creating a workplace - no chairs, no larger building, no health insurance, nothing much. Just a few guys (who were there already) to tell them what to do, and implement the finished parts as they come.
That's what created outsourcing.
