But if you so much as scratch that rental! ... I had a rental recently when my car was in the shop. The day before I was to return it I noticed some tiny scratches down one side that I hadn't noticed on receipt. Luckily ) it rained that day 2) the rental was a black Golf 3) I live in Sussex where the soil is chalk.

I took it along a pot-holed track and made sure it was well splashed and splattered. The mud, of course, dried white - the perfect camo for any scratch! :-)
