I just remember it for the sheer feel-good factor and the delightful storyline, the photography, the quality of the light that we just don't get in this country. And it doesn't seem so long ago - late 80s?

I'd assumed that you were talking about a scene in Cyprus. That's what engendered the vision of the Greek islands.
