I am attempting to 'partner' address fields.

I would like to 'partner' "123 Hill St" and "12345 Hill Street" and "456 Hill Street" - and Soundex() does a pretty good job with these three examples. All of these addresses get the same Soundex() -- and are probably/possibly on the same street.

But when Soundex() looks at "1425B Fisher Ln" and "1937 Poppy St" - they both get the same Soundex() -- so it's a little too 'coarse' for my needs.

Can anyone suggest an algorithm that could do a better job of 'partnering' my address fields?

My actual target addresses will be in commercial buildings - so I need a little tighter match than Soundex() is offering me.
