I have a weird problem when there is a message from the scanner I am trying to automate using EZTwain. I have a Ricoh - IS300e with an automatic document feeder.

Here's what happens - when I get a message in vfp from the scanner interface (like when I don't have any documents on the feeder) , VFP gets hung up. I thought it was a window in the background - I have seen that before. But I can actually bring focus back to VFP from the taskbar, and can type in the command window, or hot key. I just can't click back on VFP.

If I don't suppress the scanner interface, and click the scan manually in the twain scanning utility - then click ok on the message from the scanner - I can close the twain interface, and I get back to VFP.

This only happens when I suppress the twain interface, and the message pops up. I click Ok on the message, and I can no longer click back on VFP. I can use hot keys (like in debugger if I set step on), and I can type and quit from the command window if it has focus.

I can't cool-switch to vfp either when this happens.

TIA!!!
