As I wrote, some bugs should have been found during beta testing and if a client comes with it one year later and I regard it as such a type of bug, then I will confront that client with that formal opinion. And I can show the section about beta testing in the Contract.

You still have not answered my question. Do you charge them for fixing the bug or do you do it for free?

VFP is an off-the-shelf product and I have had no opportunity to beta test the full product.

Pardon me? To the best of my recollection,. both VFP 8 and VFP 9 had public betas. If you did not choose to participate, that was your choice.

You write: 'to get your problems resolved'. However, I think that (at least my) bugreports are almost always for the benefit of the whole developer community.

Your point is taken and I agree.

The messenger of the bug has oftentimes spent one or more hours to make the report. It is simply impolite not to respond to this.

Are you saying that you have gone through the proper channels to submit bug reports to Microsoft and received no repsonse? Pardon me if I seem confused, but I thought your previous posts indicated that you did not want to "use up an incident report" and so you had not gone through proper channels. How exactly is it that you attempted to report a bug and got no response? I am pretty sure that someone in PSS responds when a bug report is submitted.
