What I would like to do is have a form where users can dragdrop position and size various textboxes and editboxes and then convert the position and sizes of these controls to equivalent records in an FRX table.

Has anyone done this? Any gotchas to watch out for?

The reason I'm not exposing the new VFP report builder (w/protection and "builder" hooks) is that I want to expose a very, very, extremely simple interface for my users to customize layout of a detail band. I don't want the VFP report builder's menus, toolbars, or dialogs.

Your feedback appreciated (including persuading me to reconsider using new VFP 9 report builder features).
