>i noticed that an .exe i run on installation to set Window's buffering and optmistic locking entries in the registry didn't seem to have done its job. Made sure that is hunky dory so now hopefully any network errors won't corrupt the tables. Also noticed a few users are shuting down without exiting my app correctly. All the usual stuff... but i was just curious about those event log entries.

I never had corruption when the users were leaving the application by closing it using the Windows Task Manager or something like that. Otherwise, this would have happened a lot, and even for me, as sometimes we have to force it like that assuming the PC is frozen for somekind of reason.

There could be sensitivity in what you mentioned however. When reading those messages last night about other developers having faced the same message in various other environments, some of them resolved the issue by having upgraded their environment with patch or something like that. So, maybe your network is not a factor after all.
