That's really not true any more. The diesels today are hard to tell from the gas models. In fact from what I understand, diesels burn cleaner than gas these days. Expensive? If the pump price is not lower than gas, and it usually is, you only fill up half as often. How can that be expensive? True it's a bit harder to find, but it's not like it's rare. Up here it's probably in 35% or so of the service stations. (35% is my guess based on nothing at all).
