I guess that's one of my main reasons for being a Republican. I believe we tend toward punishing criminal behavior whereas the Democrats tend toward trying to make everyone feel good about themselves. Obviously we can't incarcerate 12-24 million people. Nor can we export them back to where they came from, so we will have to do something else. You can bet they will get legalized, after paying a hefty sum to the government.
Our fist priority should be to plug the holes in our nonexistant fence. Next we should deal with the illegals who are here. If I have any read on this, I believe this is how it will play out:
1. seal the border
2. start processing the illegals
3. take their money
4. give them citizenship status and watch the two parties kill themselves over them.
Each party will be talking about how they were always there for them.
This should have been dealt with from as far back as Reagan's days. The problem has grown worse with each passing day.
