Until the Dems controlling body realizes that America doesn't want the Ultra-Liberal a la Gore, Carey, Dean, Fat Ted, etc., their candidates will be totally unelectable. When the Dems come up with a centrist, strong on fiscal policy, strong on controlling government and its spending, and realizes that people's lives are their own (not to be controlled by over-legislation), then I think they will win.
