I am having a problem understanding the syntax of using XCOPY and excluding files in certain folders. The help for XCOPY shows the syntax as:
xcopy ..... /EXCLUDE:FILE1[+FILE2][+FILE3]..
Then the helps says "For example, specifying string like \obj\ or .obj will exclude all files underneath the directory obj or all files with the .obj extension respectively.
Here is my example: I am trying to copy all files and folders excluding files in folder DATA.
xcopy c:*.* /e /y /EXCLUDE:\DATA\
But xcopy gives error.
What am I missing in the above?
