It is getting very dicey to attempt to transmit table data (small chunks) on an unreliable wireless network.

Yeah, I've got a wireless app that is a hybrid. It has some data stored locally and yet pulls from a mainframe, SQL, Fox, Web sites, etc remotely. If the returns come back empty or timeout I handle it, but it would be nice to know before attempting to pull the data if the signal was too weak.
