I've just thought of another potential problem. The app that runs on the server has now modified my DBC so that the links to the tables it uses (as a free table) point to the servers G: drive. What will happen when I deploy the second app that runs on a couple user's desktops? The data will be on the M: drive for them - M: maps to the servers G: drive. The links will be incorrect. I can't have the app asking them to create the link every day (and then causing the server-based app to fail). Hmm..maybe I'll just map the M: drive on the server to it's G: drive so they appear to be identical on both machines. Is there another way?
