I know that Hilmar. But AFAIK there is no difference in VB between = and =, or in C# between == and ==. IOW in C# == is already == in VFP and there is no VFP's = ( you need functions for that-ie: C# - if ("MyComputer".StartsWith("My")) VFP: if ("MyComputer" = "My") ).
