IE4 *is* primarily an ActiveX control that can be instanced in VFP and manipulated programmatically (there's a Knowledge Baase article at MS website "how to"). Clueless as to how Netscape works internally but I would imagine there's someway to do that too.
In addition, there is an Animated GIF ActiveX file which will let you place a GIF file on a screen.
