Thank you all, Neil, Al, Jim, for your suggestions. I am discussing with the customer possible causes of this problem.
First, this customer is
very protective of what they will or will not allow a vendor to do (regarding allowing me to get into their PC or video what's going on), even though they are simply a hospital.
It could be a video card problem but to me it seems like something different. By the description of the problem it reminds of those bugs where I didn't have an error manager in the application, or the error occurred before the error manager was instantiated. And in those cases it seems like the application tries to quit but it can't. So it goes in the endless loop of trying to quit. Although it could be a video card or a software that affects it (as Jim suggested).
One other piece of information. This custom does not allow any application or the user for that matter to save to the desktop or to the TEMP folder on the local PC. Is it possible that when VFP app starts it needs to store something in the TEMP folder and that would cause this problem. The strange thing that it does not happen all the time (according to the customer's description).
Again, thank you all for your input.
