What is the connection details of an application? Do you mean to secure the things like a connectionstring to SQL server? If so then the secure way is not to use/nor store any username/pwd combination. Samples unfortunatley almost always show the connections with uid/pwd as if it were right thing to do but it is not. Use windows authentication instead.
