That's a good example of why testosterone chest-beating and warmongering is a policy of failure. Ataturk saw that and showed great honor at a time when most statesmen were still talking loudly and waving their big stick. ;-) As a historian you'll know that Ataturk was one of the great statesmen of the century. That's certainly what we remember here, and from our tiny nations thousands of youngsters make their way to those beautiful Turkish beaches to reflect on it every year.
