It's not so much a distrust of anything military. At least, it's not that simple. I have a general distrust of people in positions of power. Usually they get into those positions because they desire power, and once there, too often they see their job as protecting their own and their organisation's asses. Truth seems to become a secondary consideration.

Well, it's a little hard keeping an open mind when I know going in that these sites exist for the sole purpose of putting forward a right wing agenda. Is that how you approach blatantly left wing sites? With an open mind?

Give me a site that at least tries to be even handed, and I'll go with an open mind.
