Well, we were successful in removing a Democrat from the TN Senate yesterday. Or should I say the Democrats were successful in removing one of their own. Felonious voters, dead men voting, vacant lots, people who didn't live in the district, felons working for the election commission, etc. were just too much for the Senators to deal with. Most of the Democrats voted for the purge!<g> Funny how all the illegal votes innured to her benefit....

I am calling for removal of ALL county election members because of the problems in our system. They either knew or should have known! www.votinginmemphis.com

NASHVILLE -- The Tennessee Senate voted 26-6 Wednesday to void the District 29 election, but ousted senator Ophelia Ford vowed to challenge the action in federal court today -- and to win election in November.
There was a bit of high drama after the vote as Ford initially did not leave the chamber during a recess designed to let her exit gracefully. But after a few minutes, she addressed the Senate, collected her things and left.

"I just thank and praise God that He chose me to do this. It's no coincidence that this has happened today and I'm not surprised about it, though we will be back in court tomorrow and you might see me (back) as early as next week. But I will definitely be back here come January," a spirited Ford said before leaving the Senate chamber.
Legislative researchers said that as far as they can determine, it's the first time a state senator has been removed from office since Tennessee statehood in 1796, except for the federal government's expulsion of legislators who served the Confederate government during the Civil War.

VOTING IN MEMPHIS
To the tune of "Walking in Memphis"

Put on my voting shoes
And I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain
Harold Ford, Sr -- won't you look down over me
Yeah I got a first class ticket
But I'm as blue as a boy can be (I might get caught)

Yeah, I'm voting in Memphis
Voting though I’m six feet underground
Voting dead in Memphis
How do I do that when I’m not around

Saw the ghost of Elvis
Down on Union Avenue
Followed him up to the gates of a Precinct
Then I watched him voting too
Now Eddie Hayes did not see him
He just hung out with his crew
But there's an election to rig
and he’s working at his gig
Down in the voting Room

Yeah, I'm voting in Memphis
Voting though I’m six feet underground
Voting dead in Memphis
How do I do that when I’m not around

They've got voters under the table
They've got voters in thin air
And Ophelia Ford be glad to see you
When your voting from nowhere
But boy you've got a vote in Memphis

Now she played with the elections
Every time and did it good
And they brought me down to vote there
Because she said I should
Do a little number -
So I voted with all my might
And she said --
"Tell me are you alive child?"
And I said "Ma'am I am tonight"

Yeah, I'm voting in Memphis
Voting though I’m six feet underground
Voting dead in Memphis
How do I do that when I’m not around

Put on my voting shoes
And I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the election Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain
Touched down in the land of the election Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain
