Coming out of college I interviewed with Hormel, a big American manufacturer of meat products made from cattle and hogs. On the second interview a group of us were taken on a plant tour. When we went by the "hot dog highway" -- a HUGE wall of hot dogs being cooked before being deposited into their retail packages -- I asked the tour guide if hot dogs were the end of the line, the last possible commercial use. "Oh, no," he said. "Hot dogs are like filet mignon compared to sausage."
Wow, that was appetizing.
