I think, you should use cursor for reporting to prevent users from messing data in preview window and other forms. Okay, I tried the NOWAIT, still it runs the preview in a second instance of myform and the main form is minimized - if I bring it up to look at it, the first instance of the child form for the report is blank. This is hard to explain.

If I use the grid instead of a report form(which is what the original app seems to contain), is there any way I could make it appear as a two-line scenario?
Example:
1st row of data = 1st 5 fields of 1st record
2nd row of data = next 5 fields of 1st record
3rd row of data = 1st 5 fields of 2nd record
4th row of data = 2nd 5 fields 2nd record
etc.
