Dragan,
I'm not using PDF. I am using the blob field to hold a bunch of encrypted data. I take all the stuff that has to be encrypted, about 10 - 20 items, create one string and then encrypt it. But I need to be able to send it as an ascii string. I saw the strtran(cStr,15) in the vfpencryption.fll examples. Great program by the way.

As for compression we have used DynaZip for years now with no problems running on small networks all over the country. Royalty-free Distribution for a one time price of $300 per seat can't be beat. All upgrades have been free because they are still on the same base version of 5.x The new 6.x has AES encryption which we will have to pay $269 per seat to upgrade to.

According to the map you are about 15-20 minutes from my Dad's place. He is just off rt. 13 about a mile or two from 64. Hope to see you this summer sometime.
