we had a problem with VFP 5.0. with top level menus, once you chose a menu item, the menu went away. it never happened in development on my machine but started happening when i gave the form to a coworker to work on.
we narrowed it down to i had vfp 5.0a ( w/ visual studio ) and she had the standalone 5.0. we upgraded her runtimes to 5.0a and the menus worked great without having to recompile or anything.
