What method do you use to add records to the grid? Do you use a command button to add a record or another means?

You mention not allowing the up/dn arrows but what about using the mouse to select? Should that be disabled as well?

Watch the flow when the user presses up/dn arrow inside the grid. Check the afterrowcolumnchange...you also have to decide what would re-enable the other objects on the form? If the user is scrolling in the grid and you disable the other objects, then how does the user get out of the grid and enable another object? What is the determining factor that the other objects should be enabled again?
