By default there is no alignment set on table cell. Do you have a div container with style set to align text center? How did you put the table on the page? If you dragged it from the tool bar then no align is set by default. If you went to the menu bar and selected "Layout, Insert Table" then it gives you an option to select the alignment.

My guess is that you have a div tag with a style="text-align: center" set that is causing the align center.
