Many Bahá'ís have, indeed, moved to other countries. I think it must have been a short time before the Islamic Revolution, when the Universal House of Justice (our central authority) requested them to do so.

Those who stayed in Iran... well, they are having a hard time. After the Islamic Revolution about 200 Bahá'ís were executed under different pretexts, many Bahá'ís lost their jobs, were barred from higher education (universities), and many other problems.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
