If you learn one you can easily be conversant in the other later. The importance and difficulty is not in the language but in the framework.

VBS/ASP. We all prefer C# to VB. Is it better? No. Just a preference.

Don't confuse VB with VB.NET as they are not the same, just as C# is not C++
