Change of subject -- did you take part in any of the 100th centennial observations of the SF earthquake and fire? From what I read it sounded like part acknowledgement of history and part street theater. IOW, typical San Francisco (and I mean that in a good way). The article in Newsweek focused on one couple -- male/female, you always need to clarify that in SF -- who said they know very well they are living directly on the San Andreas fault, they fully expect it will happen again in their lifetimes, but due to the quality of life they can't imagine living anywhere else. The wife said they love to kayak under the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset.
