I like that. And of course there are internal politics involved: creating an external enemy is a great way for a politician who was effectively elected by the religious rulers of Iran to get an increasingly secular populace to support him. Unfortunately, my country has been playing right into this with clouded statements of aggressive intentions, proving once again that those who can't remember yesterday are condemned to repeat today forever.
