Maintly, because it's taken me five years to get "half way decent' understanding and creating views!

The one time that I looked at CursorAdapters (VFP8), it seemed that they were more complex and would take a lot longer to setup. Likewise, the CursorAdapter builder didn't seem to be nearly as robust as the ViewDesigner. And, as I mentioned in a previous note, the View Designer in VFP9 was a great improvement over previous versions.

Also, I can't remember exactly ... but the first time I tried using one it seems that I ran into a limit of some sort ... I think it was in how you write out each of the field names in the schema. I think it was limited to 'X' number of characters but this was back in VFP8 so that may have changed.

What are the main benefits that CursorAdapters have over views?
