>Now, there are probably a thousand others, but you get the drift. Put white in the blanks and see what you think. Put Hispanic in, Asian, Indian, Black, etc. It's all the same, it excludes everyone else and on it's face is blatant racism. A pig in a tuxedo is still a pig.

But don't forget that some of these things started a very long time ago when Blacks truly needed this type of reinforcement. When the dominant race is against you, you band together out of sheer necessity. For instance, how were oppressed people supposed to send their kids to college when colleges wouldn't take them; when they couldn't even get decent schooling at the high school level, and those that might have been able to go to a college that would take them simply couldn't afford it? Well, they got together and introduced the United Negro College Fund. It was a necessity, and no bad thing.

I'm not entirely certain those times are completely over.
