It's not unproductive to speak up against oppression, and Martin Luther King would have been the first to agree. That was his whole point. He wasn't a black pride guy. He didn't hate whites. His point was let's get along and treat each other as brothers.

"Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'"
