In Win98 I write

FILES=100
BUFFERS=40

In AutoExec.bat, but in Win2k and XP how can I configure FILES ?

In an especific user my Application are returning the File is in use by another user message where try to open more than 45 files.
I think that it is because the FILES limitation and I want to change FILES count to test.

In this user my Application are installed in a Linux server and the user access the Application by WinXP.

I don't know if the problem are in the client machine, WinXP, or in the server machine Linux. I don't know how to configure Linux.
