Title:
1705 error opening file from network workstation
Environment versions
Network:
Windows 2003 Server
I have an application that is installed on a Win2003 Server and runs fine there. From a workstation I am getting a 1705 File Access Denied when I am trying to copy a table to a new temporary table. This is only a problem from workstations. I have had them try on at Win2K and a WinXP worstations with the same results.
I had the user try to create a text file in Notepad and save that to the folder where the application resides and they can not create a new file there.
On the server they have allowed full access to the share for all users. They have even tried logging into the workstation as Administrator. They can run fine on the server as a normal user.
The problem saving a text file to the folder makes it a network authorization problem, but I need to help them resolve this issue.
They run antivirus on all files comeing in through the Sinic Wall firewall and so they are not running antivirus on the workstations.
Any thoughts appreciated.
