>First of all, is it possible to upgrade a system from Fox 2.0 to Visual Foxpro? If it's feasible, I'd love some ideas on the best upgrade path to take. My thoughts were that I would first have to upgrade to Foxpro ver. 2.6 before attempting to go to VFP. Or, should I go directly to VFP? Will I need to totally recreate all of the system screens?

Keeping in mind that this is just my opinion...
I would like to encourage you to build your new system from scratch in VFP 5.0, or 6.0 depending on when you begin. I would think you'd be best off using you're existing application as your program/implementation spec. If you could get your boss to agree that the new version would be functionally the same as the existing version, then youi'd know when you're done. Which ever way you go somebody (and yourself as much as anyone else), will want to add more and better features. Until you're really comfortable with VFP - Forgive me for the assumption - you'll be better off not shooting at a moving target.

I'm working on a project now where I'm doing as I've advised you. During this project I went up to Raleigh, N.C., and had training under Jim Duffy, at TakeNote. I found it very worthwhile! I wish I had the training first, but I'm glad for what I've got. It's helped a lot.

Good Luck
