Hello,
We are considering setting up a RAC cluster and but we are still rather in two minds as to whether to use network attached storage for the data store or to implement a Storage area network.
From what I have read on the subject, it seems that Network attached storage is an aboslute no no with RAC. Which means that, if we want to create a database server cluster, we will have to incur the high cost of a SAN implementation . I'm afraid that the cost of a storage area network may outweigh the savings and advantages of clustering servers.
Does anyone out there have any experience of clustering servers using RAC? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am starting to think that it's a waste of time.

Thanks in advance,
David Watson
