>If the device plays nice, on a failure it should lower the CTS line. You can detect this via the OnComm Event = 3 (CTS Changed) and testing the state of the CTSHolding property of your Comm control. Or you could just test it's state when you suspect a problem.
But onComm event won't be fired because com port does not send any data to the control.
