thanks for the reply. Yes, doing this as a grid method would work just as well. For changing between tables you could use a memvar for the table part of the column controlsource.

We still have this thing here about doing most things in PRGs. Mostly because you can have debug on and not have all your source code in the compiled EXE and because the VFP editor is so weak (unless you are addicted to IntelliSense).
