Rick,
>I am working my way through the Jump start for 2.1. All goes well until I reach Step 7 of "Jump Start: Creating Business Objects C#". In particular Step 2 of "Test 2: Saving Data" where it says the following:
>
>Launch the Immediate Window by selecting Debug | Windows | Immediate from the Visual Studio main menu.
>
>When I drop down my Debug | Windows | menu all I see is "Breakpoints". Do I have something setup improperly? I have the following version of VS 2005:
First of all, try typing
Ctrl+Alt+I to see if that keyboard shorcut brings up the immediate window.
Apparently, you can "lose" certain menu options depending on how you set up your development environment. Did you select VB as your development environment when you first ran Visual Studio? At any rate, you can try this:
- From the Visual Studio menu, select Tools | Import and Export Settings
- In the Import and Export Settings Wizard, select Reset all settings.
- Click Next. You can choose to save your current settings or overwrite your existing settings.
- Click Next. Choose General Development Settings
- Click Finish
