>Good thought. I had same. I checked for relations and there are none, with this table or thoughout the database. I think I have triggers set for this child table though which act upon alteration of this parent. Could that cause the problem I'm having?

Obviously it will depend upon the 'alteration' in this case. But it looks like a good place to start!
