You seem to be of the belief that blacks, all other things being equal will have a fair shot. That's where we part belief systems. Until now, blacks have rarely been give a fair shot by the ruling elite. I don't think that is going to change overnight just because you and I would like it to. I agree 100% with the sentiment, but pretty much not at all with the practical application.

Gee sounds a lot like Toronto, but our city is pretty much run by whites - including the mayor. I live in an area of Toronto that used to be known as Scarborough (to many it still is). We once were a terrific city. Our roads were being taken care of, our taxes were staying static, we had top of the line road and sidewalk clearing etc. Then a bunch of white people in the provincial government decided it would be a good thing to 'amalgamate'. In other words, to allow Toronto to annex some of the surrounding cities (mine being one). Now we have rotten toads, our property taxes keep going up, my street may or may not see the snow ploughs. These were decisions made by white people in the government.

Incompetent is incompetent. Colour has little to do with it.

The commission is full of crap. A seat is a seat. It doesn't have a colour. But does it matter whether the white republican is competent or not? Or just that he's a white republican.
